Pilchuck Passport (2019)
Collaboration with H Schenck and Benny Hill
single page zine + 6 wooden Glowforge stamps
While on Summer Staff at Pilchuck Glass School in 2019, some of the other staff members and I realized that for many of the students on campus, it was their first summer ever on campus! H Schenck, Benny Hill and I decided to collaborate and create a passport-like zine that featured some notable destinations on Pilchuck’s campus, including the Pond, the Trojan Horse, Inspiration Point, the Treehouse and some other notable artist-built cabins. We organized an evening event where students could go from destination to destination, collecting stamps that correlated with each destination. The stamps were made in situ using Pilchuck’s Glowforge, and each stamp stayed with each destination.
Pearl (2019)
digital drawing
Used primarily as the Maintain team’s truck, this drawing was an ode to Pearl. We may or may not have danced the night away in the bed of her truck, so to honor that evening I made this drawing that was burned into a silk screen for the Print Party and later released as a coloring book page
Hot Shop Hermits (2017); Keep Pilchuck Magical (2018)
video projects
Each summer on staff at Pilchuck Glass School, my role as AV Coordinator is described as the ‘campus historian.’ The goal of the position is to create archival footage, documenting a demo from each class from the session for the school’s library, as well as events, artist slides, and special guest visitors. While filming the serious stuff, sometimes you get some fun and beautiful stuff. Hot Shop Hermits and Keep Pilchuck Magical are montages I made of my sessions
Other videos I’ve made for fun include “Glassblowing on a Tree Farm at Pilchuck Glass School | Memories from Past Summers” which was made for my art-themed YouTube Channel, as well as a TikTok of Dante Marioni creating the first part of the Swedish Overlay for his Graal class with Andrea Deszö in 2019.
